Frequently asked questions
- How can I import my recipients?
Go to Addressbook → Import recipients and either download our template or upload your own list. Before the import runs you check the field mapping, so your columns land in the right fields. Duplicate email addresses update the existing contact instead of creating a second one, and invalid addresses are skipped automatically.
- Can I send from my own email address?
Yes, once your domain is verified. Under Administration → Settings → Email you enter your domain, then add the two CNAME records shown there to your DNS - they need to stay in place permanently. Activation can take up to 48 hours; after that the sender fields unlock and you can also set a different sender per eCard. Note that this requires at least the Small Business licence.
- Which formats and sizes should I use?
You set your card's size yourself, and the safest starting point is our format overview – it lists the proven dimensions for every element. Two rules matter most: build your artwork at exactly the card's size, because smaller files get scaled up and lose quality, and stay under 2 MB per image. For the email around the card, the header and footer width is fixed at 600 px while the height is yours to choose.
- Can I personalise the text?
Yes, through markers in square brackets. [salutation] pulls the greeting from three fields you define separately for male, female and neutral, so nobody gets an awkward default – and you decide whether that's [receiver_firstname], [receiver_lastname] or a title. The closing works the same way: leave [sender_name] in place to insert the sender automatically, or delete it and type something fixed like "Your marketing team". The same markers work in the email text.
- How do my colleagues get access to Power eCard?
The quickest route is Invite colleagues in the top menu bar - you enter the email address, pick a role and choose the interface language (German, English, Dutch or French). Alternatively an administrator can create users manually, import a whole user list, or switch on self-registration and restrict it to your company's email domains. SSO via LDAP is available on request.
Tell us the name of the mailing or event, which feature is involved and - if you can - add a screenshot. That's usually everything we need to give you a precise answer.
